Representation Through Play
We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued and celebrated.
Dolls can provide children with a mirror in which they recognise aspects of themselves while also offering a window into people and experiences that may be different from their own.
Our diverse collection encourages children to use their imaginations, tell stories and explore the world around them through play.
Why Representation in Children's Toys Matters
Children learn about the world around them through everyday experiences – including play.
Providing a diverse selection of dolls allows children to play with characters who may look like themselves, their family and their friends, while also introducing them naturally to people who may look different from them.
Representation
Children can see a wider variety of people represented within their toys.
Identity
Finding a doll with familiar features, skin tone or hair can help make a child's toy collection feel more representative of their own world.
Diversity
Diverse dolls introduce different appearances and backgrounds as a normal part of everyday play.
Imagination
Children can create families, friendships, adventures and stories through imaginative doll play.
Inclusive Play
A diverse doll collection can help homes, nurseries and schools create a play environment that better reflects the wider world.
Dress Your Reuben Doll
Make your Reuben Doll even more individual with our collection of doll clothes, shoes and accessories.
Children can change their doll's look, create different characters and choose outfits for different occasions.
Our collection also includes international clothing inspired by styles and cultures from around the world, helping to make dressing and imaginative play even more varied.
